My disease...

Graves' disease is the most common form of hyperthyroidism. It occurs when your immune system mistakenly attacks your thyroid gland and causes it to overproduce the hormone thyroxine.
The abnormal immune response can affect the tissue behind your eyes as well as parts of your skin. The higher thyroxine level in Graves' disease can greatly increase your body's metabolic rate, leading to host of health problems.What is Graves’ disease? This is an uncommon disease that affects 2 percent of all women at some time in their lives.

What are the symptoms of Graves' Disease?
These are the most common symptoms of Graves’ Disease and hyperthyroidism:
trouble sleeping
fatigue
frequent bowel movements
irritability
weight loss without dieting
heat sensitivity
increased sweating
muscular weakness
changes in vision or how your eyes look
rapid heart beat
hand tremors

Oh, Beth! I knew you had problems with your thyroid, but did not realize all of the details involved.It sounds like a very challenging disease to deal with.

Your are handling it really well! Praise the Lord for giving you the grace to be the great mommy and wife that you are! Praise the Lord for a supportive husband.
